Artiiste Help Center
Account Basics
Account Introduction
The Artiiste network is structured in a simple way that allows users to create a standard account and then add on pages to represent their art or art business. Creating an account will give you access to our network of artists, galleries and museums, but you’ll need to create a page if you want to add your own art into the mix. Individual art pages are connected to and managed by the Artiiste account that created those pages.
Standard Accounts
Each Artiiste user provides a minimal amount of information when they create their standard account. This includes:
- First Name
- Last Name
- E-mail Address
- Location/Country
- Password
- Gender
Standard account users have the ability to browse the network, save artwork to their art collection, leave comments and network with other Artiiste users.
Art Pages
If a member would like to create a page to promote their artwork or art-related business, then they will need to provide additional information when they create their art page. The exact information they need to provide depends on whether they are an artist, gallery, dealer, art fair, or other art world entity. Users who have published their page within the network will have the ability to showcase their portfolio, display their representation and post news about upcoming events to their collectors. Individual users can create multiple pages to represent their art endeavors (for example, if a user is both an artist and a gallerist, they can create more than one page to represent themselves).
General questions about the network
Can I upload a video?
At this time Artiiste only allows images to be used to represent
user-contributed artwork. We do realize that certain installation
exhibits and conceptual art are best represented in video format.
However, our gallery function and several other parts of our website
would not work properly with video.
What are the guidelines about what belongs on this network?
Artiiste is intended for the sharing and display of visual fine art.
While we do not forbid commercial portfolio work, our goal for this
site is to display works of personal expression, not the expression
of a client’s product. We do welcome arts & crafts, fashion and
other forms of personal artistic expression that can be represented
in a photograph.
Last but not least, Artiiste network may contain artwork or imagery that represents mature themes. However, we believe that our network is an environment that should be kept open and accessible for all audiences over the age of 13. As a result, we will remove any images that we deem unsuitable for viewing by our larger network. While we strongly believe in the freedom of artistic expression, we also do need to be responsible to our viewers.
Using Artiiste on mobile devices
Artiiste is built with the most up-to-date responsive technology and
should work properly on your mobile phone or tablet. However, certain
functions and layouts may be a better overall experience on your
desktop computer.
